is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

At the Bench
http://www.atthebench.com/
Hi everyone.
Andrew has taken delivery of the prototype of the new Knew Concepts bench pin and bench clamp. Andrew has been involved with the development of the clamp and the new and improved clamp with Andrews improvements will be with us next week. Really exciting times to be involved with such a useful piece of equipment for the bench jeweller. Product reviews to follow in a couple of weeks.
More equipment has arrived in the way of an electro plating unit from a company called Jentner. We played with this unit in Basel and could not believe how easy it was to use and get superb results so easily.
Take care, we are off to play....again.
