is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

REVIEW
REVERSING THE ROLE OF ARCHITECTURE
Repetition, Pattern, and Rhythm
by Kelly Ann Temple
Erin Rappleye, assistant professor of art at Tulsa Community College, gathered the work of 15 artists from across the globe working in materials that are used in or associated with the industrial landscape. Their work makes up the exhibition Building on the Body: Identity, Materials, Jewelry, currently on show at 108 Contemporary, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. These artists draw from observations and memories, exposing parts of their identity and personal associations through the format of jewelry.
Entry £1 (free for members, under 15s and Maltings Instagram followers)
On the first Saturday of each month, come rain or shine, we showcase the best independent crafts people, designer makers, food and drink producers and antique traders in the South East. There are over 180 stalls spread throughout the building. Enjoy browsing the marketplace and extend your visit with lunch freshly prepared in the Riverside Café.
We welcome new stall holders and are committed to supporting community enterprise and emerging artists. For further information, please contact Market Manager, Kate Lambert kate.lambert@farnhammaltings.com
