The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Working with designers, industry and tech for futureproof design
The New Designers talks programme addresses current issues and topics pertinent to the design sector, providing a platform to inspire, support and collaborate with the design industry.

Highlights from this year's programme comes from the Design Museum, The BIID, British Design Fund, Design Council, and The Design Trust.

Events run throughout both Parts of New Designers and are free to attend with a valid entry ticket to the show. Advance booking is highly recommended as spaces are limited.

INTERNSHIPS

Klimt02 offers to students (Master or Bachelor degree) or professionals the opportunity to undertake internships for a period of 4 to 6 months; the exact time will be agreed with the applicant.

We offer different positions depending on the candidate's skills and profile.
Work at Klimt02 isn’t a “bench work” and most of the time will be spent in front of a computer / thinking. For this role it is very important to be aware of what is currently happening in the jewellery field, how the industry works but also  it’s a theoretical work. We work with databases, contact artists, discuss new ways of publication...

Department directors of the schools are welcome to contact us in order to establish an official and regular agreement.
Please mail us at klimt@klimt02.net

The 2017 edition of Sieraad Jewellery Art Fair opens the doors in November 9th. The direct contact with the designers is one of the most attractive aspects for visitors. The enormous variety in styles, ranging from the more traditional to explicitly artistic and experimental, also forms an inspiration for each visitor to find something to their own taste.

This year Sieraad is offering a new stand format for Klimt02 members, 6m2 for 2 jewellers. Apply now, only few stands available.
