PARTICIPATORY SPORT FOR CRAFT ARTISTS
I flew to Seattle last weekend to set up the exhibition together with Sally Brock and Erich Ginder (Fancy owners) and Sarah Loertscher, our SNAG exhibition liaison. It took us a full day but we got it done, and the show looks GREAT, if I may say so myself.
For the gallery walk, we will be on the NORTH ROUTE: Facere, 3 x 10, FANCY, Marquard, and Traver. Fancy is only 2 short walking blocks away from the conference hotel.
OK, I know you are all very curious about this, so here is a very tiny sneak peak taken during the installation:
Cooperation: Lisa Johnson & Randy Long
“For the Birds” - Punch bowl & Ladle & Bird Seed
Punch Bowl- Porcelain, copper, mason stain, bird seed, and love.
Ladle- Porcelain, Fine silver

Permalink Reply by Jillian Moore on May 3, 2011 at 11:26am I've been over-using google maps to get an early lay of the land. The gallery proximity to the hotel along with provisions is perfect this year!

Permalink Reply by Brigitte Martin on May 3, 2011 at 1:40pm Oh, and the coffee shops... Need I say more. Of course, Seattle has the Starbucks headquarters (you drive right by it on your way to and from the airport) and with that come all the fancy schmancy coffee shops one could ever need.
PS: Did I mention that the food in that town is a-ma-zing ?

I have always thought that the back of a jewelry piece is as important as the front. If you feel the same way, consider sending images of the front and backside of your brooches to Lorena Angulo asap. Lorena is looking for images to place in a future crafthaus online exhibition!
