*Call for Exhibition Proposals: SNAG Conference 2012*, Phoenix, AZ
Annual Conference of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, May 23-26,
2012
Hosted by Arizona Designer Craftsmen
The Exhibitions Committee for the 2012 SNAG Conference invites artists or
curators (individuals or groups) to submit proposals for exhibitions in
response to our conference theme: *The Heat is On!*
Humans harness the ability to contain or control heat and the capacity to
apply it selectively. Heat can act as a catalyst; it is a necessary factor
in the formation of minerals and critical elements. Heat can also be
interpreted as a result of friction, or the anxiety and excitement of
competition. Whether the techniques we use are ancient or contemporary,
many of them share in common the factor of heat.
*To submit a proposal, please send:*
- Your resume or curriculum vitae
- A one page proposal describing the exhibition concept, whether it
will be curated or juried (if juried, who the juror/s will be), and the size
and scope of the exhibition
- Pertinent support materials – this should include five to ten
images, or website links, that represent the kind of work or artists you are
considering for the exhibition
*Formats for submittals:*
