I've had some occasional issues with bubbling as well, especially with aluminum of unknown alloy, anodized, or sandblasted. Something with impurities lingering in the pores of the surface. Sometimes I can get away with a second coat on the part by recoating right out of the oven while the piece is still hot and then slightly underfiring that second coat. It does gel over fine details though, so no good on delicate pierce work. The color really brings a bold punch to your work!

The light blue is powder coated. The dark blue is painted. I had issue with bubbles and fell back on paint.
