this automaton is somewhat autobiographical, with a very dirty porthole that makes you wonder what is inside, and a shining boat upon waves that move when you turn the crank. there is a hidden drawer behind a door that contains several talismans--the fool in tarot, a handmade luna moth travel journal and a vintage gum ball charm toy compass/mirror.
