Based on original artwork from Hans Talhoffer’s fechtbüch of 1467, this buckler measures 13” long and 8 “ wide and features a heavily fluted convex surface that allows not only the deflection of blows received but also allows for the entrapment of the opponent’s blade and/or limbs. Weighing in at only 1lb. 6 oz., it’s incredibly nimble and quick.
