Coffee Φ: The Golden Ratio from The Imposter Series © 2004 Harriete Estel Berman

Coffeepot and cups constructed using pre-printed steel from recycled tin containers of IILLY coffee,
10k gold and aluminum rivets, stainless steel screws, plastic resin. Stacked espresso cups are permanently attached with a concealed brass rod going through the cups.

22” height x 12” width at handle and spout x 6.25” depth

Coffee Φ: The Golden Ratio
From the Imposter Series

The coffeepot is based on a historical coffeepot from 1728-9. The ratio for the height of the coffeepot to the height of the precariously stacked espresso cups is based on the concept of phi (pronounced ‘fee’), The Golden Ratio, and a pun on the word ‘coffee’.

Would you like milk and sugar with your coffee? What is your perfect ratio?
