This hand painted artist book perched on wooden feet has cut pages, each side a painted caricature of a couple dancing.

Toupeed gigolos and other sorts of lounge lizards and their spangled partners, from eighteen to eighty, dip and kick on the dance floor. Loosely inspired by my own experiences and observations of the ‘ballroom scene,’ it is a whimsical homage to those who love to dance.

I created five dark characters who danced at a ballroom on Sunday nights. Edition No.1 includes these preliminary short stories.

BALLROOM, the artist book, became
the catalyst for BALLROOM, the novel, recently completed and those five original characters remain part of the ensemble.
