Texas A&M University Qatar Ceremonial Mace (2010)

Designed by Rodney Hill of Texas A&M University’s Department of Architecture, this ceremonial mace was a collaboration between Mr. Hill and Lars Stanley from Texas A&M and Parker Brown and Shalene Henley from the University of North Texas. The piece stands at 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 20 lbs. It features designs and symbolism emphasizing the merging of Eastern and Western cultures present at Texas A&M University’s satellite campus in Doha, Qatar.
