Neckpiece
Copper, Brass, Bone, Faux Bone, Feathers, Leather, Glass, Abalone
Once upon a time, stars were thought to be living entities sometimes referred to as angels. Either way, some might still recognize them as the symbol of spirit in all living things. Feathers were meant to represent the weight of a person's soul, as well a figure of truth. As for the Skulls on this piece, they are another way to invite the spirits of the outer realm to join the living during celebration. The circle then protects that ethereal body from harm.
The making of this piece is a cry to modern man, in hopes that one day we shall return to nature. Dedicated to the Native Americans and their ongoing struggle to keep their traditions alive.
*Note: The beads were made by Navajo tribes people.
