Diana Baird N’Diaye is a visual artist working primarily in fiber and a cultural anthropologist. Her work in recycled and wet felt explores the emotive and protective qualities of felt as one of the first ways of making cloth from wool. Her quilted works are narrative. Her field research in expressive culture in the African world has taken her to Senegal, Cape Verde, South Africa, Surinam, Haiti, French Guiana, Tortola, Jamaica, Bahamas, Bermuda, Barbados, France and several regions of the United States.
