My passion is to think, to design and to make.
My work over the past four years is born from a love of geometry not just by its aesthetic sense of balanced beauty, but the concepts which underlie the evolution of this mathematical discipline. During the final year of my Degree I submersed myself in Buckminster Fuller's 'synergetic geometry', something that questions our ideas of the abstract perfection of Pi and an infinite line. Fuller endeavours within this work to realise the geometry that governs our natural world is not perfect, and works with the least energy possible.
All the things that amaze me about the world and my understanding of them, I try to vocalise through the language of jewellery.
I am currently at a specialist post-graduate workshop, and my work is developing from its conceptually based predecessors, into a investigation of movement. My new kinetic collection, is wearable and playful, involving the owner to participate in the design.

I am Mark, Nic's friend from Edinburgh. I looked at your website, and I am just leaving a note to say I really found your "constructs" interesting and enjoyed seeing the work. It would great to experience them in the flesh if we ever meet.
I can see your face! Your new photo's look ace!
