We jury some of the online exhibitions at Crafthaus and are inviting you to submit to our calls-
Earthly Pleasures http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/crafthausexhibition/forum/topics/open-call-earthly-pleasures
Me, Myself and I How about your box,'Untitled' for this show. http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/crafthausexhibition/forum/topics/open-callme-myself-and-i
Sitting Pretty Part 2 is how the show will look http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/sittingprettytheartsittingpretty
A show at Crafthaus has more of an audience then a gallery and offers a permanent stage to the world. We do love gallery shows, but at Crafthaus submission is easy, doesn't cost anything for members. In addition to our calls there are others you may be interested in.
We try to make the submission process as painless as possible! If you have any questions please let us know. Glen & Marie

Welcome to crafthaus, the network for artists and fine craftsmen/women ! I am very glad you joined us !

Please add your thoughts to the blogs and discussion forums that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network, and will find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

Please note that crafthaus is both a fully edited and a member-financed website, meaning that a small annual fee ($20/yr or $35/2yrs) is involved in being a member here. You will find all the necessary information on how to go about this in the FAQs section of the site. Your membership fee is due on or before April 15, 2010 and is payable through paypal (preferred,) US check or credit card.

All images sent to the website will be reviewed to assure some measure of overall quality control. Crafthaus is not a "free-for-all". Members present their work in front of an educated and critical audience (their peers,) so the images have to be GREAT in both content and photo quality. From the many images received daily, we try to post as many as possible.

Crafthaus does not support any kind of commercial solicitation of our membership. Anyone sending out communication of that kind will be suspended from the site.

Finally, if there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me via crafthauseditor@live.com anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

Again: Welcome and enjoy !

"Sounds like a very close match indeed, Kirsten! The Dutch word you mention in particular, in German translates to "Geselligkeit" - transl: Fondness and comfort in the presence of others! "

Heather Woof - Windswept

Heather is a jeweler working with a range of metals, from silver and gold, to titanium and steel. She regards her work as wearable sculpture on a miniature scale creating forms that capture a sense of movement and challenge the perception of static and fluid, hard and soft. Heather works from her studio in Edinburgh, UK.…See More

Introducing Brooks Harris Stevens

This is the fifth Artist Spotlight that will feature artists participating in the Invisible:VisAble exhibition. Every couple of weeks I will introduce you to one of the participants, give a little information about them, and include some insights they provide me with about their art, challenge(s), what they are working on...I have left it up to the artists what they would like to include! Please do leave comments; we would love to hear what you have to offer! …See More
