About My Work
I make quirky silver jewellery based on memories, secrets and stories. A lot of the inspiration for my jewellery also comes from my Welsh background and my childhood memories, such as visiting my Gran's house where I would marvel at the precious objects stashed in her sideboard, play with the glass perfume bottles on her dressing table, and listen to the endless conversations she and my mother would have over a long cup of tea.
My work reflects on this theme of cultural identity. Each piece of jewellery is meant to be a contemporary British talisman - our own version of tribal wear. It is a juxtaposition of new and old, the familiar and the exotic; it speaks of nostalgia, memories of work and play, stories of peoples' lives both past and present.
My aim is to make unusual jewellery with a human connection, that will be worn, loved and cherished: timeless jewellery for people to treasure.
