Place of Work ? Example: Studio, College, Gallery, Museum, ...)
Independent Media Center in Urbana, Illinois
I am a .... Example: Student, Maker, Educator, etc.
My sito asks me why I only make ugly things. I'm working on an answer that won't make her feel like a failed grandmother -- she's a nice lady and did a wonderful job! My mom's explanation is I'm going through an "artsy phase."

I've been concentrating on (non "ugly") photography during 2011 and it's coming together! http://www.haddadinkphotography.com . I still take painting commissions when they come up , and I've found that I'm loving doing murals.

Last year I was focusing on the female figure and its reaction to tactile and psychological stress stimuli. Currently my medium is oil paint on canvas or (for murals) acrylic house paint! Who'da thunk?

Dear Stephanie:

Welcome to crafthaus, the network for artists, craftsmen/women ! I am very glad you joined us !

Please add thoughts to the blogs and discussion forums that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

Please note that crafthaus is a fully member-financed website, meaning that a small annual fee is involved in being a member . You will find all the necessary information on how to go about this in the FAQs section of the site. Your membership fee is due June 15 and is payable through paypal (preferred,) check or credit card.

Finally, if there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

Again: Welcome and enjoy !

Brigitte Martin

Call for artists....

"Behind the Brooch"

I have always thought that the back of a jewelry piece is as important as the front. If you feel the same way, consider sending images of the front and backside of your brooches to Lorena Angulo asap. Lorena is looking for images to place in a future crafthaus online exhibition!
