Call to Southern California Furniture Makers - LAX

Early 2016 will see an exhibition of ‘Studio Furniture’ at the Los Angeles Airport — as approved and facilitated by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs, Public Art Division, in tandem with the Los Angeles World Airports, Arts Exhibition Program.

The purpose of the exhibit will be to expose the traveling public to ‘Studio Furniture’ — showcasing the talents of southern California furniture designers / makers.

SUBMISSION

An ‘Open Call’ invitation for on-line submissions is planned, with an ‘all-inclusive’ reach within the professional; educational; training community of furniture designers / makers.

SELECTION

The Studio Furniture pieces selected for exhibit will be determined by Jury process. We're happy to partner with two fantastic jurors for our selections:

Wendy Maruyama — Noted Studio Furniture Educator; Author; Maker
Bobbye Tigerman — Associate Curator, Decorative Arts & Design, LACMA
