Sarah's photographic work attempts to slow the moments before and after death to a single frame, to allow what is generally invisible to become visible, and to engage with a process from which we have become disconnected.
Through the use of metal, fiber, and found objects Renee's work explores how mourning and commemoration are contained within objects and our constructed systems.
Comment
There is an opening reception, but I am not able to make it--Tommy starts school on this particular day. It is September 6th from 5-7pm. I am coming to pick up the work and give a talk and possibly a demo. I think that is happening on October 6th and 7th. It would be nice to see you again, but I know that sometimes it is hard to get to two events that are a distance from your home. I hope all is well!!! Let me know if you get to the opening and what you think.
