Where does your unique voice come from? How does your artwork connect with your viewers? Could your past hold half-buried clues for a richer creative future?
Join nationally known Atlanta artist Leisa Rich for a transformational workshop -- Artistic Genealogy: Charting Your Creative Journey, co-sponsored by the Pittsburgh Society of Artists and the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh. The workshop will be held at Pittsburgh Filmmakers on September 22 and 23, 2012.
With Leisa's help you'll examine your ancestral, family, health, social, artistic, and technological influences to create a "family tree" of your artistic self. You'll work on your own and with others to heighten your awareness of subtle connections and uncover fruitful directions for future work. According to Rich, the process is an excellent way for artists to get unstuck. Expect thoughtful insights, moments of self-discovery, creative new avenues to pursue, and lots of fun with fellow artists.
