Indeed! It reminds me of the first find ( a roman seal ring) I touched when, as a student of the classics, I worked at an excavation in Greece. I have never forgotten the delicate green patina that covered most of its surface when we carefully brushed the soil off.

I think the best of our pieces are the ones which are not meticulously planned...I love the ring.

Thanks Sophia.  I think so too.  I was in Rome in July and also the Louvre in June and took hundreds of photos in their ancient roman section.  I guess I absorbed some of that esthetic because I did not plan this at first.

Catherine, I love the green patina! It makes the ring look very Roman.
