I've been working with metalclay for over 12 years. My work has been included in three of the five PMC Annuals published by the PMC Guild and various other publications as well, including "Metal Clay Beads" written by Barbara Becker Simon, Lark Books, 2009 and Sherri Haab's revised and expanded edition of "The Art of Metal Clay", Watson-Guptill, 2010. Update: I was published in the most recent PMC Guild Annual, October 2011.

I'm also a mixed media artist and have recently been published in 1000 Artist Journal Pages, 2008 and Collaborative Art Journals, 2009.

I taught Silver Clay classes yearly for three years at a big mixed media art retreat called Artfest, in Port Townsend, Washington. I also teach private classes and am always on the lookout for classes I would like to take to add to my skills and keep my designs interesting for me.

Hi Catherine,  You have some remarkable pieces of jewellery, which medium are you working in silver or mixed metals.

I am just getting back into my work having had nearly three years of very little due to circumstances, but I feeling a lot more settled here with my son in Queensland.  I have quite a lot of ideas running through my head which I now want make into reality.

What Have I Been Up To?

Since returning from Istanbul, it has been non-stop in the workshop, preparing work for orders and making some new pieces too. Showing Publicly and Building a Legacy Privately

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting  in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker. 

Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
