This actually started as an engraving project. We've been studying middle eastern and Turkish engraving styles lately. The idea was to combine middle eastern design with early California vaquero style engraving. Sort of like Cowboy Sultan.
Well... we got side tracked.
It hit us in the middle of the night that we needed to carve some of these designs in bone. We hate when this happens, because now we HAVE to get up and do it, or lay there for the next several hours thinking about it.

Some people get up in the middle of the night and raid the refrigerator. We do this.
