Curiosity and evolution has been the driving forces of the studio since its inception in 1968. Michael Romanik said… - The fellowship is for 2011. I had to write an artist statement, a proposal on how to use the funds and submit up to 15 images of my work. (I submitted 12.) It still hasn't fully sunk in. I'm exhausted from all the tension and stress. I'm also relieved and incredibly honored and humbled by it all...

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
