2-Roses Studio is a life long collaboration between Corliss Rose and John Lemieux Rose. Both are the product of formal artistic training in the U.S and abroad. Curiosity and evolution has been the driving forces of the studio since its inception in 1968. In addition to art jewelry, some of the major mediums the studio produces work for are commercial and industrial design, tool and die making, painting, photography, lithography, sculpture, holography, furniture, fabrics, engineered plastics, leatherwork, ceramics, lapidary and gem cutting.

Hey guys,

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you about the business advice you have given me, but I think that I am ready to start developing way of incorperating business practices into our studio project, so that I am on the same page with you, an example project could be as a class we are going to work with a client to develope seating for a new public area, as a class we will design and build several benches and you will go throught the commission process from conceptual drawing to finished product. I am sure that I am missing things like contracts but am i on the right track, hope to talk soon.

I enjoy the humor in your images and the broad usage of materials that both of you use in your work. It was nice to learn a little more about you and your partnership through your web site. Great to see you two working together. Love the variety.

Thank you so much for your comment. It is wonderful to hear the words inspiration from the two of you. I hope to keep up the steam. Currently I am working on a piece that will be going to the Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, PA. Wish me luck.

Thanks again, Cheers

Thanks for the request and the compliment. Yes I think the direct metal process really turns everything on it's head. Too soon to tell, but certainly something to follow.

Thank you for including my nuthatch brooch in the birdhaus exhibition!

I really love making birds and have the enamels for 3 brooches sitting on my work table - another nuthatch, a grosbeak for a customer, and a new blue bird. I have sketches for an extravagant neckpiece that will include a goldfinch and thistle flowers. I think my recent trip to Scotland somehow inspired me with the county's symbol being the thistle - and I found photos of goldfinches on thistle plants - and I love green and purple together, the color of thisles flowers. It all seemed to magically come together for me!

I'm really excited and inspired to keep the series going!
