With the rise and cult of Top Chef, more and more people are becoming self-ascribed foodies. Be it a cooking process, or a utensil; beyond the Flemish still life or Warhol soup can, craft and culinary arts are quickly becoming wonderful companions.

Hi again Carolyn,

So sorry, must have missed this....  I'll send you an image or two of the ring.  One on black, one on gray.  You can choose whichever works for you --or none at all.

I've been out of commission since New Years.  Thanks for getting in touch.

Absinthe ? Hilarous. The brilliance of your work (among other things) definitely lies in the opportunity for taste testing before during and after the process.

Now I REALLY want to work with you on this. DANG.

Re cooperation tableware ....

I sometimes wished I wasn't the organizer/juror for it. That would enable me to participate too. This is such a fun project and I wished I could team up with you ....you said the magic word... "weird" is right up my alley for sure. :-) imagine the possibilities.

Thanks! As for food, I'll never turn down Sushi! I have about 3 full days to explore, and I am renting a car, so if there is anything that you feel I can't miss...

I plan to check out Velvet di Vinci, Vessel Gallery, and fiveten Studio (both in Oakland). Oh, and the Museum of Craft and Design. I do both furniture and metal hollowware. My home base will be with a friend in Menlo Park.

Thanks again!

Call for artists....

"Behind the Brooch"

I have always thought that the back of a jewelry piece is as important as the front. If you feel the same way, consider sending images of the front and backside of your brooches to Lorena Angulo asap. Lorena is looking for images to place in a future crafthaus online exhibition!
