"OK, I have no idea if this will help with the sawing two pieces of metal. But, I was reading a story about turtles, and they wanted a way to keep the micro chips attached to their shells. A manicurist suggested the glue they use to attach nails.…"
"Oh, I know that Pat would not have been squeezed out, but another artist may have. Personally I think artists should strive to make work that can not be copied. I doubt anyone could copy my work, because I can't myself. But, that also means my…"
"Thanks Bruce for this article. I was disappointed to read that the Baltimore ACC jury didn't recognize a copy when they saw one. Pat Flynn's cuff. Of Course, the person may not have used that cuff to jury, but they may have used some other…"
"Yes, I know you were really trying to rub it in on the rest of us. I think some of those IQ things that are on line have a secret agenda. But, it is good you brought up the subject that all are intelligent in their own way. People who live in the…"
"I think it is great, especially if you were one of the types who didn't do well in school. I sure didn't, math still escapes me. Other things seem to make more sense. I think the trouble is, if you have a better ability for something, you…"
"Right after I posted here, I went to Pinterest, and read this quote from Albert Einstein.
"Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.""
"I think everyone (unless they have a disability) are smart in their own way. I have considered writing a book called something to the effect, We Are all Schmucks. We are all stupid about something, and as good or better than others about some…"
"I think it is a two edge sword. If you make one of a kind, that can't be copied, your market is very small. If you make work that will sell well, and can be done in production, some one will copy. Not even 24 hours after the Oscars, knock off…"
"Those were great articles. I didn't know writers got the same thing jewelry artists do all the time. If you know how to sew, someone always wants you to sew for them for free. If you have a pick-up, you get to move people all the time for free.…"
Ooooo! Nummy! I'm still on the photo part of the submission. A friend who wants to get into this type of work is trying, but the results aren't spectacular yet, except for one. Plus, I'm holding out 'til this weekend as I'm determined to come up with yet another couple of pieces that I can choose from.
You are right about VDV . . . I'll be over the top with just one piece in that show!
Welcome to crafthaus, the network for fine craft artists and those who support them! I am very glad you joined us! Your crafthaus membership is valid through Feb 15, 2013.
Please look around and add your thoughts to the groups, blogs and discussions. Crafthaus is a participatory sport!
Please note that ALL images sent to the website editor are vetted to assure a measure of overall quality control. Unlike other image sharing websites, crafthaus is not a "free-for-all". Our members present their work in front of an educated and critical audience (their peers,) so the photos have to be GREAT. Our goal is to show our members' work in the best possible light. From the many images received daily, we aim to post as many as possible. Crafthaus heartily encourages comments from the membership, however, with regard to photos posted or not, we have a strict "NO WHINING" policy in effect! :-)
If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me via email@example.com anytime, I will do my best to be of help.
I hope you will enjoy being with this network, and will find the exchanges interesting and fun.
