Michihiro Sato - Fragile

Paper, cashew paint (a coating material made from the phenol compound extracted from cashew nuts), silver and stainless steel comprise the ingredients list of the work of Michihiro Sato. Carved, colored and stacked recycled papers practically blossom in his hands. Sato’s forms snuggle gently into sensuous curves and soft, multiple lines - any of which could be interrupted in an instant. It’s the temporary quality of the fragile. It’s the concept transcending the medium.
