American Craft Council Award of Excellence 2009

Last week at the American Craft Council show
in San Francisco I was awarded with
the Award of Excellence 2009.

This is is for me such an honor that I still don't find the right words to describe my gratitude and satisfaction.
And now I must thank all the dear friends that strongly advised me to do the show and support me when I really needed it!!

Thank you Harriete!

Unfortunately this is the only picture I have from that day.
Anyway my booth was not really a 'regular booth', in the sense that I was in the emerging artist section (this made the award even more exciting since I discovered only the next day that I was judged among all the artist in the show!!), so we had only a table (mine was 2x6) and that was it.
I can try to describe it...I used some origami shapes as display for my earrings and the rest was made out of square sushi plates organized in a very geometric way...I was going for a minimalist look which is very much the same as my jewelry design concept.
