If we, as artists, can't find a connection to who we are and where we have been to the work we produce, we won't find our true creative self. We can do this by way of our subconscious without openly recognizing our personal idiosyncrasies. As I have stated once before, it is better to understand the reasons why we work in art in the same way we understand the taste of food, just take it in and enjoy.
