Is anyone familiar with this series of art jewelry books by Kennedy Publishing? if so, have you ever been in one of their books and actually received it. I am interested in more information about who they are??

Lightdome canopy wanted

Posted on April 14, 2010 at 6:15pm 1 Comment

I am looking to buy a used Lightdome canopy-or something else that is specifically wind resistant and made of aluminum (not steel). I do outdoor craft fairs and I'm tired of the fear every time I leave my cheap tent set up-- to the fate of spontaneous high mountain winds. I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm also taking suggestions as to where else I might list this--ebay and craigslist were not useful.

thanks,

Alison Antelman

Hi Alison,
My teacher still has the necklace. When I get it back I will send you the pix of the clasp.

I did use the key clasp I made in the workshop on a necklace called Thistle. It looks great. I need to finish the box clasp, but I have been under the gun to finish project 4 for my metals class.
I will try your suggestion.
Best,
Diane

Advertising on sites like Crafthaus are controlled by one of several large networks. Brigitte has virtually no control as to which ads show up on the Crafthaus site. While we don't support Prop 8, we do support freedom of speech for you as well as the Prop 8 nimrods. Under our constitution, you have the right of rebuttal to any point of view you want to contest. You do not have the right to limit, prohibit or restrict another person's right to voice their opinions.

The first amendment to the constitution and gay rights go hand in hand.

Dear Alison,
I didnt see anything offensive in that matter on my end either. I'm sorry you got to see it however it showed up. I think I share an opinion with many other artists that I want all my friends to have the same right as me. I hope you can be relieved to have friends on your side.

Alison:

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Unfortunately, I have no control over the ads that you can see in the upper right corner on crafthaus. This is a google feed from the "ning" host that I can neither divert nor control in any way. These ads come with the package when you set up the site and in order for them to go away completely, I would have to pay "ning" a monthly fee, which in turn I would have to charge the members as well. When I set up the site, it seemed to me that the ads were geared toward art related business and initiatives which might be of interest to some of us and therefore I felt I could spare everyone the expense of having them removed. Also, I do not receive any kind of fee from crafthaus members visiting advertised sites or using the advertised services. This is simply something that comes with the "ning" host.

When I received your mail this morning, I looked at craftaus to see the ad you mention for myself but I did not have the same ad feed, maybe because I am in Pennsylvania ?

In any event, if this is something that you saw in another section of crafthaus, such as a member fed section, please let me know. That I do have influence over. crafthaus is not a political site and I can delete inappropriate content as long as it's member created.

I hope this is helpful. Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Dear Alison:

Welcome to crafthaus ! I am very glad you joined us.

Please feel free to add images of your work and your comments to the blog/discussion topics that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

Again: Welcome !

Since returning from Istanbul, it has been non-stop in the workshop, preparing work for orders and making some new pieces too. I've sidelined a number of works-in-progress in order to get on with more pressing issues, so there are no updates on my Chanel-inspired piece or my tribute to Alexander McQueen, though I have progressed apace with my first foray into electronics in jewellery, "14th Century Nightlife" which I hope to finish finally this coming week after it sitting on my bench for…See More
