- My work comprises mainly brooches and necklaces made out of various designs of silver and gold chain alone, or chain attached onto a copper mesh base which are then enamelled. Even though I have endless sources of inspiration, looking into ancient Greek and Cypriot Jewellery had a tremendous influence on my work. The unconventional process I follow in the making of my jewellery is a product of many months of experimenting with sifting and fusing enamels, which resulted in me pioneering a unique method of fusing enamel on a movable base (chain). My aim is to try and stretch the boundaries of what can be achieved with glass powder as a medium, thus introducing a unique way of enamelling in the contemporary jewellery world as an alternative to what is already out there.

Showing Publicly and Building a Legacy Privately

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network, and will find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.
Please note that crafthaus is both a fully edited and a member-financed website, meaning that a small annual fee ($20/yr or $35/2yrs) is involved in being a member here. You will find all the necessary information on how to go about this in the FAQs section of the site. Your membership fee is due on or before February 15, 2010 and is payable through paypal (preferred,) US check or credit card.
All images sent to the website will be reviewed to assure some measure of overall quality control. Crafthaus is not a "free-for-all". Members present their work in front of an educated and critical audience (their peers,) so the images have to be GREAT in both content and photo quality. From the many images received daily, we try to post as many as possible.
Crafthaus does not support any kind of commercial solicitation of our membership. Anyone sending out communication of that kind will be suspended from the site.
