1982/2010

In the very first days of 2011, Brazil has changed its presidency.  I am not a person qualified to judge this last government in terms of its political and economical achievements, but one thing in it was very disturbing and I would like to comment here. We've been governed for long eight years by a person that was proud to have had no education. Our last president did not have a university degree and was proud of it.This was really a bad example for the whole population considering our average…See More

Mirla, I so wished I could go. But I live 9 hours away from NYC and that is just too much to travel. My buddy Sarah Abramson (also on crafthaus) might go though, she is one of the MAD's resident artists and they just acquired one of her brooches for their permanent collection!
I wish you the best for the opening, I know it is going to be GREAT. My consolation is that recently, the Center for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh had a Latin American Craft show and I saw that Plantain necklace there, and a few other really wonderful pieces :-) Enjoy NYC.

Welcome to crafthaus, the network for artists, craftsmen/women ! I am very glad you joined us !

Please add thoughts to the blogs and discussion forums that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

You will find all the necessary information on how to go about this in the FAQs section of the site. Your membership fee is due on or before July 15, 2009 and is payable through paypal (preferred,) US check or credit card.

Finally, if there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.
