Michael Sherrill - when a creative voice has multiple octaves

We wanted to demonstrate how one strong creative voice can sing in different octaves. Ceramicist Michael Sherrill does just that - and he does it quite well. His tea pots and vessels are beautifully abstracted with areas of solid color. Sherrill’s floral pieces, however, are treated quite differently. Both bodies of work share that great sense of movement that Sherrill employs and both also show extensive exploration and development.

We’ve given you a split image today - two octaves, one fantastic voice.
