Pam, I so agree with you about the ACW conference:) The last one was so much fun and I met so many great people from the Yahoo group too. It was like a giant love-in:)) Very happy:))

oh

Over, Gordon, nobody said it was a "clean" process ;o), but it's fast, efficient, consistent and not as messy as the carbon.

In Prague I had 4 hour classes with between 14-18 students in each class and double firing for each piece - some made earrings too, so double decker was the only way to go and I still had to do some added firings in the evenings as well. Good luck at B&B ;o)

How does ACC do with fired mechanical connections, ie, hinges, chains, swivels etc? I've only worked with COPPRClay and the last time I tried to pull that stuff with an open shelf copper clay was with Prometheus and everything cracked :(

I haven't heard about the newspaper, but I'm not too excited about the smoke factor either. That's all I need.. Fire alarms in schools.

Gordon,  Oh to be sure. It's NOT clean.  It's not like Silver.  But I'm still getting good results and it's way better than the carbon in my opinion. I know others don't mind the carbon, but I hate messing with it.

Hm. It's against my employer's religion. Damn. I wonder if you can shelf fire Prometheus? I'd really like to be able to offer copper or bronze classes, but I'm not messin with the carbon for so many potential students.

Lora,  Art Clay Copper works great with open shelf firing.  No carbon.  I love it!   I'm getting great results, and it enamels beautifully.

Any time, Lora ! Mostly yes. Art Clay Copper and it works for me per instructions. I do a test piece but it works well in a classroom setting. I've hammered pieces down flt regularly on a steel block with no problem too.
