Hi Katrina, I went to a goldsmithing school for two years and apprenticed for one year in the mid-seventies. That makes it a little over 30 years. I am still enjoying the studio, especially after a crazy day at school (I'm going back for a sociology degree).

290° - The first of the Scottish degree shows

It is that time of year again, when the degree shows in Scotland all kick off. As usual, the roll is started by Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of  Art & Design - DJCAD for short. Regular readers of my blog will know that Dundee is my favourite Scottish city and has been for many, many years, so it is something of a surprise to realise that until last…See More

Third time's the charm...

I keep trying to write this blog and get it posted but I seem to run into self inflicted road blocks. I was hoping to have something running by Wednesday. First, I have 2 computers and Ive done bits and pieces on them both. Second, I cant seem to find a wifi hook up when I need it or when I have the draft I want to post. On top of that, there's been very little time away from the conference or visiting family for me to go onkine. Finally, when I was going to post this afternoon, the battery…See More
