Sarah Hood Jewelry
I am a .... Example: Student, Maker, Educator, etc.
My work features several collections of unique jewelry pieces ranging from very wearable limited edition jewelry to one-of-a-kind sculptural art jewelry. My work is a constant exploration of the natural world, both its forms and its materials. I'm drawn to archetypes, those images floating beneath our collective consciousness--a perfect circle, a smooth and elongated leaf, a bare tree. I love clean shapes, elegant design, and unexpected combinations of materials.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you so much for the kind words regarding my work and thank you so much for bringing my work to Catherine's attention. I could not be more pleased and thankful to you. I do feel terrible that Catherine and I had such terrible communication in the beginning. I was only getting half of her email!! I about passed out when I found out that the show was so immediate, but I pulled it together--barely. Catherine has been really helpful and patient with me--considering I rarely sell my work. I usually hold on to and keep showing it. I am hoping to attend next years SNAG--I hope that we can get together. Warmly, Renee

Call for artists....

"Behind the Brooch"

I have always thought that the back of a jewelry piece is as important as the front. If you feel the same way, consider sending images of the front and backside of your brooches to Lorena Angulo asap. Lorena is looking for images to place in a future crafthaus online exhibition!
