I had a wonderful time in Istanbul when I visited in 2013. Now, four years later, it seems that I may never be able to return again. The liberal, secular country created by Atatürk is succumbing to the power-plays of the fascist Erdoğan,…

You can see Noel wearing the brooch in the video in this link (skirting neatly around the issue of Scottish independence and focusing on the jewellery)

Hi there, been here a little while just not very active!  The new photos of the stainless codpiece look great - a bit western gunslinger.  That Earrings Galore exhibition looks interesting I may have to investigate.

We just had an Artist & Kids weekend,I had to teach an impromptu jewelry/enameling workshop. Remember Zoe from your class? She volunteered and brought in her pieces to show the kids. Lots of fun, however I'm covered in enamel!

I had a wonderful time in Istanbul when I visited in 2013. Now, four years later, it seems that I may never be able to return again. The liberal, secular country created by Atatürk is succumbing to the power-plays of the fascist Erdoğan, already praised and congratulated by fellow fascist Trump and courted by our own vile authoritarian dullard, May in her desperate…See More

Tea For Sixty-two and Sixty-Two for Tea

This lurid display is another of the short projects run by the BA class, this time to introduce them to various technologies, including turning, press-forming, spining, sand-casting, thread-cutting, riveting, laser-cutting, and finishing. Yes, each one of these tea-sets has all of these processes in it and some have more!…See More

Quite aside from being the largest collection of utter tat I have ever witnessed in one place, the jewellery and watch section of the fair is always interesting and over the years, I've made a few visits here. This time around, we decided to take our entire cohort of HND…See More
